Must Read!! Why 4th Placed Premier League Team May Miss Out On Champions League!!
UEFA rules may see the team that finishes fourth in the Premier League, miss out on next season’s Champions League.
If Leicester City win the Champions League and Manchester United clinch the Europa League, they automatically qualify for the competition.
This then means that only the top three clubs in England will be allowed into the competition, as no country is allowed more than five participants in the competition.
There are currently six teams fighting it out to finish in the three places behind champions-elect, Chelsea. Leicester City will surely finish outside the top four, following an abysmal defence of the league title this year, while Jose Mourinho’s United are currently in 5th place.
United are however heavy favourites to go on and win the Europa League. They take on Anderlecht in the quarter-finals.
Leicester tackle Atletico Madrid in the quarter-final of the Champions League.
